MOSCOW, Dec 27 (PRIME) -- Russian diamond mining giant ALROSA has produced a 190.77-carat rough diamond at the Botuobinskaya kimberlite pipe in the republic of Yakutia, the company said in a statement on Friday.
Experts say that the preliminary estimate put the diamond’s age at 2 billion years. The company will transfer the gem to its United Selling Organization for detailed evaluation very soon.
